Jadel Celebrates First-Ever Jamaica Carnival Experience with Performance, Mas, and Local DJ Support

KINGSTON, JAMAICA (April 2023) – Trinidad & Tobago soca artist Jadel recently marked a major career milestone by experiencing Jamaica Carnival for the very first time, combining performance opportunities, cultural exploration, and meaningful connections with fans throughout the island.

Widely recognized for her energetic performances and growing international presence, Jadel traveled to Jamaica during Carnival season to immerse herself in one of the Caribbean's premier celebrations. The visit provided an opportunity to experience the country's vibrant culture firsthand while continuing to expand her reach throughout the region.

One of the standout moments of the trip was participating in the official Bacchanal Jamaica Road March with the renowned Xodus Carnival Band. Jadel took to the road in the band's "Red Whine" section, wearing a stunning costume designed by Anna. Surrounded by thousands of revelers, she embraced the full Carnival experience while celebrating Caribbean music and culture.

In addition to playing mas, Jadel made a special performance appearance at Caesar's Army's AMBush J'Ouvert, where she entertained revelers during one of the weekend's signature events. The performance allowed her to connect directly with Carnival patrons while showcasing the energy that has made her a fan favorite across multiple territories.

Throughout the weekend, Jadel was pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming response to her music. While many patrons recognized her hit single "Shake Up," it was the popular remix featuring Jamaican dancehall star Demarco that received notable support from local DJs. The track could be heard throughout Carnival weekend at fetes, parties, and events across Kingston, highlighting the growing impact of Caribbean collaborations and Jadel's expanding audience in Jamaica.

Beyond the festivities, Jadel took time to experience the island's tourism offerings, including the popular bamboo river rafting attraction. The opportunity to explore Jamaica outside of Carnival gave her a deeper appreciation for the country's natural beauty, culture, and hospitality.

"Experiencing Jamaica Carnival for the first time was truly special," said Jadel. "From performing and playing mas to hearing my music throughout the weekend and exploring the island itself, it was an unforgettable experience. The energy, the people, and the culture made me feel right at home."

The trip represents another step forward in Jadel's ongoing efforts to build connections across the Caribbean while promoting Trinidad & Tobago's rich musical heritage. Having performed throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean, she continues to establish herself as one of the region's emerging female soca voices.

As her international journey continues, Jadel remains committed to creating music that connects audiences across borders while celebrating the unity and diversity of Caribbean culture.
